The President has signed a decree approving additional measures to boost the importance and contribution of microfinance services in entrepreneurship development. This decision sets several tasks. Starting from January 1, the limit for microloans to individuals will be raised to 100 million soums (effectively 50 million soums). Furthermore, a regulatory framework governing the provision of Islamic finance services by microfinance organizations will be developed before January 1.
